When and where?
We’re heading to the seaside a bit earlier than usual this year. Gdańsk Ska Jamboree will be taking place on the first Saturday of October. The event will kick off at 7 PM at the B90 club on Elektryków in Gdańsk, obviously.

Who’s hitting the stage?
Johnny Reggae Rub Foundation: This Cologne-based duo describes their sound as urban ska and reggae’n’roll. The band, currently a duo formed by Johnny and Chrissy, released their latest LP, “Trouble,” in 2020. Expect a captivating mix of early reggae vibes with influences from 2 Tone and third-wave ska.
Podwórkowi Chuligani: These ska-punk legends are widely recognized in Poland, and they’ve been going strong since the 90s. They recently put on a great show at Sosnowiec Ska Fest with an added brass section, and we’re hopeful for a repeat performance in Gdańsk.
Ziggie Piggie: Hailing from the Zagłębie region, a mining area in southern Poland known for its vibrant ska scene, this crew has a rich history and a refreshed lineup. They’ve recently shifted towards a more soulful sound, introducing a new vocalist, Ola. We’re excited to see how this evolution unfolds!
The Valkyrians: It’s been far too long since we’ve seen these energetic Finns perform live, and we’re thrilled for their show! Will Angster still be climbing every structure in sight? Is the club ready for the chaos?
Sonic Boom Six: This eclectic group blends ska, punk, reggae, hip-hop, and more, creating a unique sound that really can get the crowd moving. Even those with a more laid-back vibe can appreciate their energy – from a safe distance, drink in hand, of course.
Preparty, afterparty, and more good times
The Gdańsk Ska Jamboree is more than just concerts; it’s a whole experience! If you arrive early on Friday, join the locals for a lively preparty at Screen Gastropub.
On Saturday at noon, a fun bus will take eager festival-goers for a trip to Westerplatte, a historic site where the first battle of World War II took place. For details and to sign up, check out the Gdańsk Ska Jamboree’s Facebook page.
And after the concerts, the party continues at the LOFT pub. DJs Anna Rudy and Paul Lazarus, hailing from France, will spin some boss records to keep the vibes alive.
